BRAD AGOOS

Director of U14-U19 Boys
U16 Boys/U19 Boys Coach

Fall Middle School Academy Trainer

Brad Agoos joined 
Burlington FC with a wealth of youth academy and collegiate coaching experience. Agoos coached a U14 Boys team for Crossfire Premier US Soccer Development Academy, as well as a U18 Boys group for Portland Timbers Youth Academy, assisting young talent with the transition to becoming full-time professional players. As Head Coach of Seattle University (2006-2011) and Assistant Head Coach of University of California, Berkeley (2000-2006), Agoos led both successful programs to Elite 8 post-season appearances. From 2009-2016, Agoos was employed by US Soccer to evaluate and identify players for US national teams. He has also served as a MLS match evaluator in collaboration with league office to analyze game experience, officiating, and match tactics. As a player, Agoos won 3 national championships as a member of the University of Virginia Men's Soccer program. In 1992, he was ACC Tournament MVP.  Agoos played professionally in Costa Rica 1st Division (AD Santa Barbara-now Puntarenas FC), German 2nd Division (FC 08 Homburg), and Dutch 3rd Division (Quick, Den Haag). In the US, he has played at nearly all professional levels (A-League, CISL, USISL, and PDL).

LAUREN COOTWARE

Director of U14-U19 Girls
U14 Girls Coach
Fall Academy Trainer
For five years, Lauren Cootware has served as the first assistant coach with the UVM Women's Soccer team. The 2018 Cats made their fourth straight trip to the America East Tournament - a first for the program. Cootware joined the UVM staff after a four-year starter at Boston College. A defender/midfielder for the Eagles she started every game she played (81) and finished her career with 29 points on six goals and 17 assists. She ranked third on the team in scoring as a sophomore and junior and helped BC reach the NCAA Tournament three times, including an Elite Eight appearance in her sophomore season. Cootware was named the Boston College Rookie of the Year in 2012.
A two-time Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Vermont, she was a two-time NSCAA All-American at Colchester High School and a member of the U.S. U14 and U18 Youth National Teams. She was also a member of the ODP Region I Team from 2005-2012. 

BOB DAY

U10 Boys/U12 Boys Coach
Fall Academy Trainer
Bob Day brings over 25 years of coaching and teaching experience to Burlington FC. He has worked with many local clubs, as well as the Olympic Development Program. Day served as head and assistant coach at Colchester and Burlington High School for over 20 years, earning multiple D1 State Championships and 5-time coach of the year honors. 


BROOKE JENKINS
Director of U8-U12 Girls
U10 Girls Coach
In 2018, Brooke Jenkins completed a stellar Senior season with the UVM's Women's Soccer team. As Captain, Jenkins started all 18 games, led the team in points and goals, and was named All-Conference Second Team for the second year in a row. Majoring in Economics, she was also named a 2018 America East Presidential Scholar-Athlete. A midfielder from Smithfield, R.I., Jenkins helped Smithfield High School win the Rhode Island State Championship and played club soccer for FC Stars ECNL, one of the top club teams in the country.


TOM BACON
Goalkeeper Academy Director

For over 10 years, Tom Bacon has mentored beginner-to-advanced level goalkeepers. As a teen, he learned the science of goalkeeping from the legendary Dr. Joe Machnik. Years later, Bacon coached at Dr. Joe's No. 1 Goalkeepers Camp. As a player, Bacon started all 4 years in the goal at Hamilton College and served as Captain his Junior and Senior seasons.

KEVIN CHU
Speed & Agility Trainer
Kevin Chu will be leading the Speed & Agility program for the BFC Performance Academy.  As Founder of Sprinticity Track Club, Chu has developed innovative techniques that empower all athletes. His
 holistic philosophy, "Form, Fast, Fit, Focus," will prepare BFC players for the physical and mental demands of the game.
