For MIDDLE SCHOOL
GIRLS & BOYS
  • Sunday mornings @ UVM
  • Led by Brad Agoos
During the highly-compressed fall soccer season, local middle schools typically play at least 2 matches a week, which leaves little time for technical development. The BFC Middle School Fall Program is designed to offer eight 75 minute technical trainings on Sunday mornings to complement the school season.
Includes: 8 Trainings
Cost: $150

2019-20 Winter/Spring Programs (November-June)
BFC’s winter/spring programming will include regular team-based trainings for Premier and Club teams for Girls and Boys in the U8-U19 age groups, plus supplemental, optional trainings through the BFC Performance Academy, which will provide players the opportunity for additional focused skill development with BFC’s staff.

Through team trainings and the Performance Academy, BFC players will have the opportunity to play 1-4 times per week during the winter months at Shelburne Field House and UVM, and 2-4 times per week in the spring at UVM.  These offerings have been designed to provide high-quality training opportunities for those players looking for more touches during the winter, while also providing flexibility for players with other commitments during the winter months.

The BFC Team Programs and Performance Academy are described further below.

Team Programs (November-June)
Starting in November 2019, Burlington FC will be offering Premier and Club team training for Girls & Boys born in 2001-2013.

The main focus of the BFC Premier Program is to prepare teams to successfully compete in league and tournament play both inside and outside Vermont, with the goal of developing exceptional, regionally-competitive teams. U12-U19 Premier teams will have one mandatory training a week starting in November, then 2 trainings from January-June. We encourage our Premier players to be active participants in the Performance Academy.

The BFC Club Program is designed to empower aspiring players to build a strong technical foundation with an undeniable passion for the game. U10-U19 Club teams will have one mandatory training a week starting in January, then 2 trainings from March-June.

BFC will also organize futsal teams for both Premier and Club teams, led by BFC coaches, to participate in Sessions 1 & 2 of Far Post or Nordic's indoor leagues. It's critical for our players to be in a competitive environment from November to July.

Tournament and team competition strategy will be determined team-by-team once the roster is set.

Each Burlington FC team has a "Team Account" that is used to cover the costs of tournaments and additional competition added to the schedule. The Team Account fees are separate from registration fees. The BFC team registration fees cover facility, coaching, uniform, training ball, and Spring VSL fees. The Team Account fees vary by team, depending on which tournaments each team will participate in. Every player contributes towards their team's Team Account.
